SSL and Domain Monitoring for SaaS Companies

Your main domain is fine. The API subdomain isn't — the cert expired Tuesday, and three enterprise clients have already emailed. You have a monitoring stack. SSL certs somehow still fall through.

Expiron is specifically for cert and domain expiry. Add every subdomain your product runs on, set Slack alerts to the engineering channel, and stop relying on someone noticing in Datadog.

Checks run every 24 hours. Alerts fire at 60, 30, 14, 7, and 1 day out. On Pro, you configure which intervals are active — so you can drop the 30-day reminder if 60 and 14 are enough for your process.

  • Monitor every subdomain — api., app., staging., docs. — all tracked separately with independent expiry alerts.
  • Slack integration routes alerts directly to your engineering channel, not a personal inbox.
  • Custom alert intervals on Pro plan — turn off the ones you don't need, keep the ones that match how your renewal process works.

Common questions

Can we monitor subdomains?
Yes. Add each domain/subdomain as a separate entry — api.yourdomain.com, app.yourdomain.com, etc.
We already have uptime monitoring — why Expiron?
Uptime monitors check if a site is up. They don't alert you 30 days before a cert expires, before there's an outage. Expiron is the early warning layer.
Does it track domain renewal dates too?
Yes — WHOIS-based domain expiry tracking runs alongside SSL monitoring.
Can we set different thresholds per domain?
Custom notification intervals are set account-wide on Pro. Per-domain configuration is on the roadmap.
